I have recently added a polished Weber razor to my collection. After a second unexpected addition I want to choose one to keep. What blade do you use in combo with your Weber to give you the smoothest shave possible.
I have used a Voskhod it was recommended and dose not disappoint (the best of the group and may prove to be the decider)
Gillette Silver Blue- (a good shave, but no wow)
Gillette Wilkinson sword- (razor burn)

So lets hear it guys! Whats your blade of choice?

Congratulations for this new addition! This razor is a winner, especially for its price. I'm using it with Astra blades, the platinum (green) ones and works perfectly, giving close shaves.

Bye!

Don´t like the Wilkinson in mine either.
Here is what I use: Polsilver, Personna, Feather
These are rather sharp blades; after and before a shave I   pull their edges with no pressure in a rather acute angle across my thumb/ lower palm area. I do not this not to make them less sharp, this is to keep the edges sharp and smooth.

I recently have been using Polsilver SI.  This morning I used a MedPrep. I find the Med Prep to be a little smoother.

IMO, the Weber polished head razor is one of those razors like the Merkur 34 that works well with most blades.

Recently I've particularly enjoyed using Rapira Lux's and Super-Max Super Platinum blades for a nice mix of sharpness and smoothness and very effective shaves.

My Weber works well with any blade.  I get good results from Voskhod, Ladas, Rapira Swedish Super Steel, and Lord Platinum Class.  Over the years I've tried about 35 blades and those are my current rotation.  However, I periodically try blades again which did not work for me in the past to see if tey work better for me now.

Every time I've tried to use a Rapira branded blade in my weber I didn't enjoy myself. I haven't tried it yet with a stirling soap so that may change things. Usually though I use Polsilvers or Personna Reds.

I do like the Swedish Supersteel Rapiras in my Merkur and Weber razors. Did you try these, these act more like polsilvers IME. Let me know if it didn´t work, I used them only two times but think they should act differently than the other Rapiras in those Razors..  Well...Smile

Crystal is all I've tried in mine so far.  Thinking of running a red through it next.

Weber razor makes good even the bad blades, and the good blades become marvelous.
