[Image: KvS81nX.jpg]This morning I had to put down my boy cat Jax. He was a cat I found between my neighbors house and another house in the bushes. He was too little to run and was very sick. We took him home and cared for him for nearly 13 years. He had a little limp and a gimpy ear. He was our last cat. He grew up with two older female cats that he really loved and was heart broken when they died. Mommy and I will miss you Jax. We love you.

That's a difficult decision to make. One that I have had to make twice. Quality of life is the number one consideration.
Sorry about your loss.

Pyewacket's curled up sharing my breath as we type. I'm so sick with flu I can't even stand up long enough to shave. Nobody has called to check on us in 5 days. I mustered enough energy right now to load the dishwasher, collect an apartment load of spent tissues and tossed out a lot of half eaten food. And there is Pye; almost guilty  asking me to clean out his filthy littertray, freshen water and feed him properly. I do, he eats, does his toilet and then curls back beside me tighter than the ying yang design.
Remember; cats were created so we may pet lions.

Thank you all for the kind words. This day has been really hard and lonely. He was my best buddy. I office out of the house so he was always on my desk hanging out. The office and house are too quite.

I, too, send my sympathies on your loss. Animal friends have a unique way of finding the tenderest part of our spirits.

He is handsome for sure. Majestic.

I feel your pain. Been there too many times. We bring our animal friends into our lives knowing that one day we may find ourselves in this position.

Some days the pictures and memories will help... Other days they will torture you. Savor the good days.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
