I had Larry at Whipped Dog replace the knot in my Bethlehem Olivewood handle with one of his High Mountain knots: 24mmx50mm. I will test drive it tomorrow. This is a post bloom photo.

I have been curious about that high mountain knot. It does not looks like my high mountain whites. I am curious about your impressions.

You are correct, it is not a High Mountain White.

It took a bit more clean up than most and takes a little longer to dry. When dry, it seems a bit scritchy. But, when I used it this morning, it was very soft and lathers like a champ. After one shave, I am very impressed.

Second shave with the new High Mountain. I really like this knot! It is very soft, but has good backbone. It will be a regular!

I really like Bethlehem oivewood handles, this wood has a strong "personality" with its vein. With a shining finish some handles model are outstanding.

This may be a dumb question but I was looking to ordering an olive wood handle next week and was wondering if you also poly the inside of the knot hole or do you just let the adhesive seal it?
