Traded a box of old, beat up comics for these two.

1968 Slim Adjustable, and 1969 Super Adjustable "Black Beauty".

Nice trade, and good condition it seems. I just hope there weren't any real classics in that comic box!?

Thanks.
With comics, condition is everything, and they weren't in the best of condition. There were a couple in there that, had they been in better shape, would have been worth more, but not in the shape they were in. Yellowed pages, damaged covers, etc. The guy I traded them to wanted them because they were ones he owned as a child. And they were sitting in the bottom of my closet getting worse with the years.
And I've been looking for a Super Adjustable for 9 months.

This is an awesome trade then! He got his comics because of sentiment and the same with you! Love it!

Thanks, guys!

And they're in great shape. Just needed a bit of a soak in warm, sudsy water. Everything works smoothly. Nice, positive click through the adjustment range, and the tto knobs work cleanly through the quarter-turn lock down. The Super Adjustable still has nice, black paint in the numbers. May eventually fill in the numbers on the Slim. There's enough info available on how to do so.

Congratulations, Mike! That was a great trade and I had never thought about exchanging comic books for shaving gear!  Thumbup

Thanks, Celestino!
I knew the guy might be interested, and I knew he had the razors but wasn't using them, so.... Biggrin

Thanks, Brian!
And you of course know they will be forthcoming. Got a GEM G Bar I'll be shaving with soon, as well. Smile

Given what you said about the comics, it sounds like you both got a good trade.   Smile

Kyle, thanks. I hope so. He seemed stoked to get them.
Thing is, they were comics I collected as a child, and held a lot of sentimental value to me, so I know how he feels. But over the years I realized that they were just wasting away in my closet, getting older and in worse condition every day. And I didn't have the means to do what was necessary to preserve them in any way. I know he will take care of and enjoy them, as I will these razors. To me, that's win win.
