Very nice.  So you're overhauling the mechanicals?  What sort of steps are involved in that?

Yes, I'm taking the Razor totally apart, Cleaning, polishing, Tweaking any thing that needs it, Painting, and setting the Gap. I find this to be a lot of fun.

Yeah, getting old stuff working again is a lot of fun.  I've tinkered with razors, electric clocks, motorcycles... So much old stuff... So little time. Smile

Is it just the pic or is the red band on the far right FB, bleeding into the knurling?

Lol, Ya it is a little bit, But a lot of it is reflection. If you Look at the bottom of the handle, I also painted the screw on end. You could see it on the towel to. I am going to take a little polish and any bleeding will come right off. Thank for noticing Blush

My wife's the soap maker.  I guess I can take some credit for being a guinea pig and providing feedback.  I of course think all her soaps are wonderful.

There are lots of opinions on her shaving soap here though: http://shavenook.com/thread-shannon-s-soaps--25228

Very cool.  I'm getting a black beauty 'tricked out' also.  Cerakote and rose-gold.

Thanks, Erik.

I'm sure you'll share the pics when your black beauty is done.  Can't wait to see them! My black beauty still sits in its original package.  Can't bring myself to tear it open...

I assume it's a ceramic coating, yes?  I guess I never thought of one being applied to a razor.  The first thing I thought of when I saw the brand name was the ceramic coating that gets applied to high performance exhaust headers.
