Well the mail ran today and I was expecting a package, so I went back to check the tracking numbers and heard the door bell ring.......The mail lady said that she had forgot that she had a package for me......So now that I have a smile back on my face here is what came in.... It's a B.j. Eyre & Co. 13/16 Barbers notch with a near wedge grind & custom Buffalo horn scales. This one dates around 1850 -1890 Sheffield UK.....The original scales were cracked so Joe had no other choice but to replace the scales, but did use a lead wedge to go along with that time period....The razor is in fantastic condition and will make a nice addition to my shaving den and current rotation.

Glad to hear Wallace!

It is amazing how a little piece of lead can add so much weight. I bought a 12" x 12" x 0.125" sheet of it and it weighed about 8 pounds. It actually isn't that hard to work with as you can easily pound it into a wedge shape on the anvil with little effort.
