Pardon my foul language, but HELL YES I am ready for spring.  I can't remember the last time I saw a temp that had two digits in it.  Oh wait, does -21F count as two digits?

Sad, but technically speaking, yes it is.

My hands are so dry and cracked it hurts to play guitar.

I won't tell you how warm the weather has been out in L.A. I will say that I have been paddle boarding a lot and got a little sun burned last weekend. Biggrin

I got wind burn walking from the parking garage into work this morning. That's almost the same thing...

Enough cold for me! The current satellite photo in this article reminds me of "The day after tomorrow " movie.

Charlie, you need to try some unrefined shea butter for your hands! You won't have this issue any longer!  Thumbup

Gotta get my hands on some of that unrefined shea butter. Pun intended.

Honestly, it would have been Much More bearable had our travel plans not fallen through. We were supposed to go on vacation, Sunday through Wednesday.

Last Saturday, the National Weather service predicted gloom and doom for NYC, so Delta cancelled our Sunday morning flight to Punta Cana, D.R. We were rescheduled for Wednesday through Saturday (2 of us) and Wednesday through Monday (2 of us), BUT the hotel was booked solid and couldn't accommodate us. The travel agent said there were no other comparable hotels Anywhere. My entire family was seriously bummed.

I understand that the airline did what they thought was the safe thing, but Sunday morning last weekend I watched jet after jet fly in and out of JFK and LaGuardia (we're in northeast Queens, and flightpaths are quite visible). So, some airlines flew and some families got away for a while. Just not us.

They say (who are "they" anyway?) everything happens for a reason, but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out...

Phil Ochs is classic!

What happened to the P.O. reference?
Oh; never mind. I just realized you need to be logged in to see signatures.

For the most part, I enjoy our Wisconsin seasons, even winter up to a point. Our dog is a Samoyed who thrives on cold weather so I'm out everyday with her.
But by this time of year I've had enough.Fortunately we take an annual trip to a Florida beach in March and by the time we get back, Spring is nearly here. 13 days to go.

we've only had maybe 5-8 inches of snow so far in the Philadelphia area this winter.  I think we got maybe 3-4 inches last night.  Yes, I'm already done with the snow....

Definitely ready for spring here. The other day the wind was absent and the temp was about 17 °F and it actually felt warm in comparison to what we've been getting. Today it's in the mid 30s and it almost feels like spring. I was actually able to go outside with only the fleece layer on. The sun is high enough in the sky now to begin melting the snow. That was good to see.
