Hi gents,

I'm selling a couple of Simpson's brushes that just don't get any use whatsoever in my den.
As with all my Simpson's brushes, I have the engravings professionally filled with black ink, in my opinion the brushes look much better this way - Simpson's does it in their Silvertip and Manchurian brushes for a reason.

First of, an Emperor 3 in Super Badger. $105  $98 $95   $85  SOLD

Important note: there is a hairpin crack on the top part of the handle, I have no idea how it happened as I am extremely careful with all my brushes. I believe it may have come that way from the reseller, but I only noticed after a couple of uses. Still, IMO in no way does it affect the stability of the handle, but I believe it is reflected in the asking price. I tried to take a picture of it:

Secondly, a Chubby 1 in Best Badger. $115  $108  $105   $100

Both brushes have been used no more then 5 or 6 times, and come with the original boxes.

Worldwide Shipping w/ tracking is included, payment by PayPal. No trades, please.

Cheers,

David

Hey David,
Nice offerings here.  I am interested in your practice of filling the Simpson lettering with black ink.  Would love to know where you get it done. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks, Nathan! I found an engraver here in Porto that uses a certain type of ink that fills the engraving (as long as there is enough depth in it), and the ink seems to last forever (Simpson's original engraving does not). I have some brushes that I use regularly, and they have lost absolutely no ink at all. Also, he doesn't mess with the original engraving, so there's absolutely no change to the original handle, he just manages to fill it perfectly with black ink, and the end result is what you see in the pictures above. Smile

He sure does a beautiful job David! I need to look around Connecticut to see if I might find the same. Thanks for the lead on where to look!

Last price drop on both brushes. If they don't sell, I'm keeping them. Smile

Since there appears to be no takers in the gorgeous Chubby 1, and I'm not dropping the price any further, I'll withdraw it from sale.
