I see that there are different coatings that Ikon uses on their razor heads.  What is the difference between these coatings and which is most durable?   (DLC, Cerakots and the B1 coating)

Hello.  I do understand that the DLC coating is the stronger.  It is used in the watch industry.  I do own a DLC slant. I don't see any wear and tear in the near future.

I believe the B1 is by far the strongest coating to date. I have never heard of/read any comments on the B1 chipping, etc. The DLC has had chipping problems. I am going on reviews/opinions/assessments around the web. As I understand it, the B1 is a "baked in" type of coating, where the DLC and Cerakote are true, external coatings.

I have 2 iKon Deluxe OC razors (matte silver and B1) - I have had zero problems with them and they are heavy, solid, stainless steel razors. I do baby all my razors and take excellent care of them. I am not going to part with them.

I hope this helps!
