Razor: Joe Edson Custom Damascus 13/16+
Strop: Neil Miller 3" Shell Cordovan
Brush: Shavemac Colonia No.1 D01
Lather: Strop Shoppe LE Apple & Cinnamon
Nourishing: Swiss Pitralon

Portland is known for having a creative food scene. We are fortunate to have Ken's Artisan Bakery and Ken's Artisan Pizza in town. The owner, Ken Forkish, also wrote a wonderful book on bread and pizza baking, which won the James Beard Book Award. I've had great fun gradually working my way through his book, making the same rustic country breads that he sells in his bakery. I find many similarities between the "Zen" of bread baking and the "Zen" of shaving.

Thanks, the scales are Stabilized Claro Walnut Burl with Imperial Jade Recon Stone wedge. Joe does excellent work. This is one of my favorite razors as it's such a joy to shave with.

Mastro Livi Inox, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point

This is the latest razor I ordered to Mastro Livi and this is going to be added to the ones I will bring with me on my business trips. Very simple, yet effective, it is a 6/8 with a round point, made from the very same stainless steel used for Grifetto, it in fact has the "Inox" mark handwritten by Mastro Livi. Just like every other straight razor made by Mastro Livi and using this stainless steel, it gives a lovely and smooth shave, something I would consider in-between carbon steel and RWL-34. Of course, this is the razor i am going to bring with me on my next business trip!
  • Pre-Shave: Myrsol Emulsión
  • Soap: Tabac Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Frank Shaving Synthetic - 22mm
  • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Inox, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
  • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • After Shave: Mennen Skin Bracer
