Running low on Caron Pour Un Homme aftershave and not seeing it readily available at a good price lately; seems like most folks are out of stock.  So set my sights on TOBS Lavender Water; same situation it would seem.  Any suggestions?  Considering Saint Charles Shave Bulgarian but some have said it is rather weak in strength.  Didn't want to splurge on D.R. Harris.  Seems like lavender is drying up!

While I believe it may be discontinued, if you can find a bottle of Fine Lavender Aftershave I think you'd be pleased.

Ginger's Garden French Lavender is an excellent aftershave, both scent and skin care.

Do I gather that Ginger's Garden will make an aftershave not specifically listed, since I do not see a lavender one on the site?  And, I wonder if it could be done without menthol (never cared for menthol).  Guess I could contact them and ask!  But would also like to hear other ideas.

Hi John,

They will make any scent that's listed on their scent list (http://www.gingersgarden.com/index.php/scent-list). No idea if it's available without menthol, sorry. It is difficult to find lavender aftershave, I used to like Caldey Island from Britian, but it can't be shipped to the US anymore. D.R. Harris is pretty good too. Trumper also makes a lavender water, but I've never tried it.

Going to order the High Altitude (French) lavender, but without menthol.  Irena says that that is the one she most frequently uses for aromatherapy.  That sold me!

True, Atkinson's English Lavender is excellent, but unfortunately it appears to be unobtainable

Santa Maria Novella lavender aftershave splash is a great product too. Very natural smelling too, not synthetic at all.

The only lavender splash that I've tried was from SCS. I really liked it. It is not a floral sweet lavender, more medicinal, and with menthol.

I'm very fond of lavender too -- a favorite of mine is AGUA LAVANDA PUIG. It is not cheap, but the bottle is large and lasts a long while

Where can one find this on the web?  I did a search (for splash, not balm), and all I found was a splash described as lemon and black pepper.  The word "lavender" never appeared.

Yes, i don't know why they say lemon and black pepper, certainly because they never try. It's a middle way of lavender and herbal scent.
You will find here (try "weleda after shave" on google, etc. it's not really complicated  Shy ) :

Hands down my best Lavender aftershave is Czech & Speake Oxford and Cambridge. An absolutely amazing scent that wears like an EDT. Wonderful healing properties as well

Received my Ginger's Garden High Altitude French Lavender aftershave this afternoon, and got it without menthol.  Unfortunately I had already shaved, so it will be a day or two before I try it on my face, but I did dab a bit on to get a whiff.  Wow!  That is some really very nice, floral lavender!  Thanks for your suggestion, John!

Received Ginger's Garden High Altitude French Lavender Aftershave (ordered without menthol) yesterday, and used it for the first time this morning.  The scent is wonderful; floral with very little herbal qualities.  I do not believe that it is terribly long lasting, but blended well with my Caron Pour Homme edt.  Do not think the scent is terribly long lasting, though I might still be smelling some after about five hours.  The aftershave also contains (I believe) witchhazel and aloe.  The post-application feeling is somewhat tacky, but not much.  All-in-all I am quite pleased.
