You have bought yourself a beautiful brush. I have one as well. It's a much softer boat because of the banding. Much less break in period. Once broken in it will feel very soft with just the right amout of scrubbiness. I have this and the 45 which is a larger version and different handle. One of the softest boars on the market. If you had to have just one boar...this would be one of the best. Keep in mind it does need to break in a bit. Great choice

Don't these come in red, black and white handles? If they do, then I have had all three and they are great brushes and lovely handles. Unfortunately, they just couldn't compete to my badgers. Angel

No Celestino . Not the same ones. The 76 and 45 are exclusive brushes. Different boar hair quality made to be softer .

I might be wrong but what the Omegas have going for them  is thinner hair. This is closer to a badger by that virtue alone, right.

I have mostly Semogues... but am curious. Is there a  luxurious Omega?  Probably will get one very soon.. it seems Biggrin

Thanks for the corretion, Carmine! As you can tell from my statement and my SOTD pics, I don't use boar brushes, very much!  Biggrin

Ok, received it.
Came in a nice box, presentation is great for the price you pay.

BUT - while the gunmetal finish loosk nice, once you grab the brush and hold it in your hands, you just realize why this brush just cost you £12 and not £120.
It's made from lightweight plastic, while looking very nice, it just feel too light in my hand.

You don't get any kind of quality feel from holding it.
I have to admit that the finish looks really nice - the plastic is well made for being so light weight, but it feels like a £12 brush, though it looks from a distance like a £120 brush, it just isn't and never will be.

Also the knot has glue bumps at the base, some of the hairs are glued together at the base of the knot.

In the end, you almost always get what you pay for.
Next up is testing the brush - and I do expect it to perform nicely - for a boar brush, that is  Wink

It's not an expensive brush Claus.  You are correct.  However, I think you will find that it will exceed your expectations for a boar.  It might just be that one boar you will want to keep around. It does not take very long to break in. Enjoy

I have an Omega 98 which is great when broken in.

How is the knot different to the other Omega boars?

I've been toying with the idea of buying this brush as well. I will be interested in how well it performed for you.

Eagerly awaiting the update on the lather testing. I am really wanting to buy another Omega because I like my 49 a lot. Trying to decide between something like this or the B&B brush from West Coast Shaving.
