After falling in love with the Conklin 25P Crescent Filler I picked up at the L.A. Pen Show last month, I couldn't pass up another one when I saw it on the Amazon Marketplace (on Amazon's site but sold by a private party).  I decided to take a chance that the seller was reputable and that definitely looks to be the case.  I paid half what I did for the same model at the show, the pen is in remarkable condition with deep clear imprints, and the nib is gold and flexible, just like the one from the show.  Like that first one, it writes like a dream.

freddy,
I love that pen. This one looks every bit as nice as the one you scored at the LA pen show.

Two beautiful pens.

I thought you had a black/rose gold modern crescent. How do these old timers compare to the modern one?

You are correct, Phil, I do have one of the modern Conklin Crescents.  There is no comparison, in my opinion.  The Original 25Ps easily beat the modern versions.  A lot of that, though not all, has to do with the nibs on the older Conklins.

I've always like the Conklin Pens - especially the Crescent Fillers. Mark Twain liked them too. Smile

The Conklin nibs are wonderful. Great pick-up, Freddy.

I'm fascinated by crescent-fillers and currently own several modern and vintage ones.
