I've noticed that I rarely see people post about Kamisori here. Since I really love their look and have always appreciated them, I was wondering if you guys would be interesting in posting some pictures and info of your kami to bring them some more attention!

I've had quite a few in this week for honing Iwasaki and Tosuke, and even though Japanese razors are some of my very favourite razors I can't say I share your love or enthusiasm for traditional Kamisori razors not my cup of tea.

I'd like to see pics too, especially now that I've been having fun with the kamisori's descendant, the Feather AC non-folding.

You may be interested to know that "kamisori" is still used as the general term for any razor in Japanese, including plastic disposables!

I have renewed a few. Here is a link to the photos of the blades and the protected cabinet I keep them in:
Kamisori Cabinet
I like shaving with them and find it relatively as easy to use them as any other straight razor.

I love the wrapping on the Iwasaki's handle and its pretty Japanese box.
Packaging is a big thing with Japanese goods.

I love the look of the Iwasaki blades.  But I doubt I'll ever pick up a traditional kamisori.  I like scales!

The handle is wrapped with Japanese wisteria.
The box is paulownia wood.
The blade is Sweden steel.

I want to try one at some point, I'll have to see if I can find a swap with somebody for a trial.  I just tend to gravitate towards smiling blades, which I haven't seen in a true kamisori before.

As of two days ago, Classic Shaving had two in their custom Hart section.
