It seems there is little talk of Mike's these days. It was the first really good artisan soap that I tried and while there are now some very good soaps made by others, Mike's remains as one of my favorites. Anyone else still using Mike's soaps? It must still be popular as he's usually a week or two behind in shipping.

Yes, still one of my favorite soaps.  His Hungarian Lavender and Peppermint&Rosemary are regulars in my rotation.

Love to pull out his Vetiver occasionally as well when I'm in the mood for some (strong) Vetiver.

A strong fan of Mike's soaps, here. I go further and say that these soaps are the only US artisan soaps I now use. I've tried others but Mike's soaps never fail me.

Mike's is great but I think he isn't as popular as many other artisans, despite making fantastic soap, because he is often out of stock

I've mostly moved on to Stirling. I still use Mike's Hungarian Lavender, though.
Honestly, I just got a little bored with Mike's scent lineup. There are only a few of his scents I like and he hasn't added any new scents in a long time.
There are also the out of stock and 2 week delay issues.

I don't mind the shipping delay but I too have wondered that he's lagging behind in his scents choices. Still, it apparently isn't hurting him much. I just have not found anything I like better.

I have 4 of his soaps in the rotation, huge fan.  Love his EO scents, the others not so much.  Great name too...  Wink

Mike's Vetiver is one of my top soaps. I have written him in the hopes that he'll offer a Sandalwood soap.  Hambre

Three or four years ago, Mike made a LE Vanilla Sandalwood soap for a Spanish forum and it was superb. It won't be repeated but I agree a Sandalwood soap is very much needed.

Mike's as well as Barrister & Mann were also the first artisan soaps that I tried approximately two years ago, and they are both outstanding soaps. I happen to like several of Mike's scents, including Barber Shop, Rose & Cedarwood, Lime, Bay Rum, Lily of the Valley, Coconut, and Vetiver. However, I enjoy trying new scents and think of using Mike's only rarely, although his soaps perform about as well as any.

Mike makes a fantastic product. I have his Orange, Cedarwood, & Black Pepper.  It's a wonderful blending of scents that isn't just a plain orange.  For me, it pairs well with Hermès Concentré d'Orange Verte EdT.

I could live forever just using Mike's soaps.  One of the most amazing soaps of all time. Perfect lather, perfect ingredients, perfect cushion, perfect slickness, perfect post shave, and awesome scents!   This is THE ARTISAN of artisans.

Mike's is an excellent performer and I get some of my finest shaves when I use it. It is one of the few I rushed to buy again once my first puck ran out.

However - I find that it is not a productive latherer (in soft or hard water). Put another way - I find I have to load longer/use more grams of Mike for the same amount of lather (VS some of my other mainstays). Perhaps this is due to an excessive amount of superfatting?

Overall I feel that it is a good soap - but not my favorite.

I believe Mike is a PhD student currently who makes soaps on the side, which explains the shipping delays.
Mike's soaps are incredible in the sense that it can take so much water.
I've purchased and tried many artisan soaps, but Mike always remains in the rotation.

I find this to be true. I've tried a lot of soaps/creams but Mike's stands up to all of them. I believe it's a testament to his product quality that he is constantly in demand/out of stock without much (any?) marketing nor fancy packaging.

Like others, I wish there were a few more scent options and more stock but if it works, it works.

Mike's Natural is unparalleled in the post shave department.  I love the way my face feels after I use any of his soaps.  Most soaps are a bit easier to lather but the resulting lather and post shave are just amazing in my opinion.

Nathan, you might want to try Mystic Water and Cold River if you want great post-shave. Angel  By the way, I really like Mike's soaps because they are excellent.

Perfect example of YMMV. No matter how much I tried I never could get a decent enough lather to even come close to B&M soaps and found it did not provide me any decent post shave feel. Left my skin very dry. I tried both his Vetiver and his Hungarian lavender. The combination of the hype, constant wait for it to come back in stock, and time it took to receive, I was very disappointed in the product when I finally got a chance to use it.
