There are so many good shaving items that are no longer in production and more and more great items are dropping by the wayside every year either through reformulation or discontinuation. The Shave Nook likes to devote Mondays to using these out of production items where you can pay homage to the "dearly departed".

Woods of Windsor. It was already discontinued when I began this pursuit 2 two years ago. I read the reviews and by luck bought a partial bottle.
I managed to buy a small cache via EBAY and forum sales. It's a decent scent, a bit strong at first but with a long dry down and never a negative comment. It taught me $25 was a good ENTRY level price for quality scents beyond drugstore insecticides.
I've moved on, found two scents I LOVE.I still have a bottle; once in awhile splash it on out of respect for it's lesson.
The people who bought WOW ressurrected the scent- reformulated with patchoul!and AWFULL

In addition to Woods of Windsor, just about all the shaving products and equipment I use are vintage or discontinued. Every day is a mournful day for me. Call me nostalgic....

I recently received a vintage bowl of Harris Cologne scent shaving soap in a trade. I may have to bring it out this Monday for the "Mourning Shave". Biggrin

It seems as if everyday there are more and more possibilities for the Monday "Mourning" shave. I just received notice that the Gillette Shaving creams have been discontinued so here are three more possibilities:

Gillette Menthol

Gillette Sensitive

Gillette European Classic

RIP. Angry

Phil, here is another terrific Mournful Monday choice. It's also my most favorite of all creams. Thank goodness I still have 7 tubes in reserve.

I have never had the pleasure of trying the Noxzema cream. You are very fortunate to have thought ahead and to stockpile the cream when you could.

I just got word that another popular item as joined the "do not resuscitate list". This is a shocker but according to my sources...Irisch Moos Shave Stick has been discontinued. I was unable to reorder and was told that I will not be able to reorder. Angry

It is extremely frustrating. IM was a very solid seller. Why can't they discontinue one of the duds?

Phil, that is very unfortunate for you guys. However, this may allow you to try some other things. i am sure you have tried everything out there, but it could provide another incentive. Sorry about the bad news!
