I need some information on the UFO tornado, before I make the  purchase. UFO makes some amazing handles. I think the tornado is the best looking handle, but my concern is does it have a good grip when wet. I know that the tornado is not as deeply knurled as the others they offer. Im my opinion deep knurling sacrifices the gloss/shine. Does the tornado offer a good grip in a wet environment? What other razor handle would you all compaire the tornado to as far as the grip. For example the mule razors are knurled just to make them pretty, but the grip sucks. On the other hand a Gillette fatboy or a slim adjustable isn't knurled very deep, but provides a excellent grip in a wet environment.

The grip should be ok as long as you don't have soap or cream on hand. I use PILS which is very slick thin stainless steel razor but yet to drop . Just keep your hands clean from soap.

Raphael's website says, "less grip, more gloss" but I think the grip is just fine, and I am a shower-shaver.  I think the Tornado (top pic) is just as grippy as the BRW Improved (bottom pic):

The tornado handle isn't too slippery when it gets wet, but it is less "grippy" than other bulldog type of handles. One trick that I learned from Phil is to quickly rub, or pinch, your alum block which will help keep your handle gripped if you get your hands real soapy.

Wow.  Talk about an envy-inducing post!

In these pictures you have three pieces of unobtanium:  a UFO Tornado, a BRW handle, and the vaunted P74 blades!  And that's not even mentioning the gorgeous LC NEW.  Nice set-up.

Not to my knowledge, but I could be wrong.  You should check the website if you want to be sure.

His PM box here (as well as at another site) has been disabled.  His blog (at his website, http://www.uforazorhandles.com/ ) now no longer shows a contact link.  Juan (Dr Dulcamara) may have more insight, but his last update was that Raphael was battling some personal problems, as well the pressures of his "day job".

I have a brass Tornado handle and I've never had a problem with the handle slipping.  It is a great handle.

He handle on the right is a great Handle I purchased from Triad here at TSN.  In the middle is my UFO Brass Tornado along side my UFO Kaiser Short.

Those handles are so sweet! I love my ikon and I have two interesting Sabi's but, need to run after a Triad and a UFO (it sounds like the creator may not be making these any longer).

I've been "in queue" since 2013. I check in every 4 months. Same response: "you are in queue"
