Looking to purchase a nice brush scuttle any suggestions ? It looks like dirty bird is out of commission for a couple months due to injury so they are out.

Go to http://www.Georgetownpottery.com.  They have great scuttles and if you buy a " second " you can save some money. I bought a G12 and barely notice a flaw. I believe I talked to a lady named Debbie. Great service. Truly a beautiful scuttle. Good luck.

Moss scuttle. You can have Sara make it any size you want. Or SRD scuttles are great at keeping a brush warm. My SWK is a big open bowl but does a very good job at brush heat as well.

This is a brush scuttle I ordered from Doug Smith.  Its quality is excellent; reasonable cost; quick shipping.  I have enjoyed this brush scuttle.  Also, the pictures are straight from the camera - no Photoshop. No re-touch.

Nice. Does it keep the brush pretty warm?

Yes.  I also have a Dirty Bird 2-piece brush scuttle and Doug's is pretty well the same size in overall dimensions.  Both keep the lather warm for a 3-pass.  I prefer to use Doug's version with my larger knot brushes, such as the Romera, since the "brush cavity" is a little larger.  Overall, I can live with either one.  I have both because I have a fairly large pottery collection and wanted to add Doug's to my collection.

Hope this helps.

Great looking brush scuttle! I have the dirty bird version of this and I love it! It is the only piece of shaving equipment that is part of every shave.
