Stopped by Barney's in Union Square (San Francisco) and brought my wife to the Le Labo counter. Well she jumped on the Rose 31, and she picked out the Bergamot for me. Gotta say guys, the Santal 33 is one manly scent. Got a dose of smoky vetiver to balance the sandalwood. Check it out if you get a chance

How do you like the Bergamot?  I haven't tried it but have some Santal 33 which is a nice green sandalwood if that makes sense.

Hi Dave,
It immediately came to me as a very fresh scent, like newly mowed lawn. The Rose 31 for my wife is exquisite.

I've been wanting to try the Bergamot for some time now and just haven't gotten around to it. I know that Rose 31 is hailed by some to be one of the best Rose scents out there...I know it's for your wife but I find it to be a unisex scent.

You're right-anyone can wear Rose 31. The manager said that is was originally for guys. Doesn't come off as a strong rose based at all, but a very well structured scent

Rose was originally considered a manly scent. Ashley was a man's name. I still see guys around whose name is Stacey... By the way here is a picture of former president Roosevelt in a dress:
