Mainly intestested in Face Feel….  feel free to describe the scents of your favorite face-feelers, but I really want to know which ones make your face feel the best (or even the nice Complexion of your skin)   [Image: smile.gif]

I suppose name your top 3-5 commercial and 3-5 artisan balms, whatever number you choose!  Thanks.

(There is a separate thread for Splashes.)

in no particular order....

Crown Shaving Co. aftershave balm ..unscented
Simpson's Skin Food ...also unscented
Antica Barbieria Colla Apricot Hull aftershave balm...very rich with an extra menthol kick
Baume.be balm...very pleasing face feel and scent
Guerlain Vetiver aftershave gel

all of these pamper my skin without feeling greasy or sticky.

L'Occitane Cade is probably my favorite, the scent is what really draws me, but the face feel the other day was great.

I'm up in the air about Baume.be right now. Scent is minty which I'm not crazy about, and I feel like it gives you a bit of that menthol feeling (very little), but other than that a good balm as well.

Not sure it's a "balm", but a pea sized dab of 444 gel mixed with the splash of your choice. Sometimes I mix 444 with witch hazel and apply just before bed. It's quite moisturizing.

For most of my life I've always preferred balms but lately I've been into splashes because of their scents, but back to the question of  face feel I like Castle Forbes balms and L'Occitane Baux.

I've got some Mondial on the way. Long time ago the Chanel Egoiste had a balm that was flat out rich.

I've tried a bunch and have a hard time not going back to Nivea Sensitive in the end. Its so light and absorbs so quickly its hard to beat.

I use L'Occitane Cade and Baux balms. Also 444. L'Occitane comes with a bigger price tag but definitely better than 444 and leaves magnificent face feel, especially after a great straight shave. I am mixing 444 with clubman and it creates wonders considering its tiny price tag. It is a must try balm.

I have to say, since posting this thread, I am loving my GFT Sandalwood Skin Food.
Why isn't it household knowledge that the First Ingredient is Rose Flower Distillate?
Very impressed with the quality and performance with this stuff, and as always, thanks Phil for the fast shipping!

Sharp blades, a perfect prep and good technique. Then I hydrate with water and Shea butter.
My skin reacts to many balms, so I keep it simple. It may be good for many people in the long run.
Nivea and Proraso balms I have sitting around. Will look back into this list Smile

For me, the best is Weleda, no matter if i have had a harsh shave for whatever reason, this balm does it for me.  I have also just taken delivery of Stirling balm, and this is also very good, nice and thick and moisturising.

I have really been impressed by the Soap Commander aftershave balms, very good post shave feel that lasts. Another that I just recently purchased and was very impressed with is the ESBjERG aftershave cream, really good post shave feel and it too lasted all day.

The ABC balms are outstanding. The scent descriptions are a bit off in my opinion but, they are great
