I have two Brad Sears brushes with the Mühle STF XL knots in them and have enjoyed them very much. I liked the look of his OB3 handle but I did not want a brush that big so I asked him if he could scale it down to fit the Mühle STF XL knot and this is what he came up with:

The specs on the brush are 26.5mm with a loft of 53mm. The handle is 41mm. The short loft on the Mühle knot still works wonderfully.

That's a very nice ivory material.  And it's interesting that the Muhle synthetic knot is still working well at a 53mm loft.

Wow, not a lot of brush designs catch my eye anymore. I saved this photo for future reference. I like that the knot could go deeper in a shorter handle too. Congrats

Brad did a great job on this.

Yes the ivory that Brad uses is very nice. My pictures don't do it justice. I was a little worried about the low loft for this knot but I think it still works great at this loft.

Brad has some interesting brush handle designs I think.

It sounds like Phil should have this soap at BullGoose soon.

Brad Sears is the "real deal" - he is an excellent designer and a skilled artisan. My 2nd brush from Brad should arrive tomorrow and my 3rd is in the works.

It does!
I have two Muhles at even lower lofts and they perform fantastic.

Note that the handles are upscaled.
