It's like buses, you wait for ever for a new French shaving soap and then three turn up at once. I did notice the release of the new No 63 range with its brushless cream, but after just surfing the web I have seen they have released a shaving soap version too! There are a few mentions on another forum. It appears to be hard to find...

That looks interesting!  I see the balm available a lot of places, but the soap isn't readily available.

If you find out where it is, please let us know.

Am I the only one interested to find a vendor with more of the soap? Love this scent and the balm is great. The cream performance is "meh" but mixed with some unscented AoS cream it performs well and still smells great.

Are there any initial reports of the performance of the soap, consistent with the other PdP shave soap?

It looks like I will have to place an order. Biggrin  When the No. 63 line was first made available, there wasn't a soap.

I can't describe it, but it is really a nice scent.  And the ladies in my life really like it.

The scent of the balm is slightly sweet, with a little spice, and I also pick up some pipe tobacco.  It's quite lovely  Biggrin

I've used the bar soap and the body lotion.  The scent is somewhere between Hanae Mori HiM and Spicebomb, IMO.  It's very very good.  Can't wait until my local shop gets the shave soap.

That's what I get too, a little sweet and definitely pipe tobacco.

At this point I can only speak to the AS balm, but yes, I feel the formula is exactly the same as the original, just a different scent. This is based on observation from use, I did not compare ingredients side by side.

Since we're talking soap, maybe someone else can chime in that has both soaps. I should be receiving mine later on today...

Thanks. One day I'll try the balm. PdP soap works great for me and I'd be open to trying the same performance in another scent.

Ooohhh, a new french shaving soap? Interesting, no doubt about it... Shy

Can anyone provide the ingredients list of this new soap? Just to check if it is similar to the original PdP or not...

I have posted about a possible PdP clone, considering that the two largest OEM manufacturers in Provence merged a few years ago everything is probably made by the same company in all likelihood, distributed by La Maison du Savon de Marseille...

I've been using the bath soap and balm for a few month, and just recently the shave soap. I feel that it's a spicy sandalwood scent, but I acknowledge being terrible at describing scents. I do know that it's one of my favorite scents. The bath soap is incredible, and is a very large square-shaped bar with a wonderful scent that fills the bathroom when showering, and with the moisturizing properties of other PdP soaps.
