I have tested an old generation 24mm knot but i abandon him quickly
Can not compared with the Frank Shaving Pur-Tech knot.
In contrary TGN 3 band synthetic is very good and i think you should give him a try,i don't think that you will be disappointed.

I have one mounted in my R400-replica, they are very good but I think I prefer my Pur-Tech.

It's a good synthetic knot for an excellent price. It has all the great qualities of a synthetic. Soft tips, easy building of lather. Mine is set to 55 mm. I think its a good loft that doesn't have too much spring. It splays easy. I find it to be scrubbier than other synthetic knots which I like. I'm not sure why because it looks to be the same fiber as Muhle, HIS, or Chubby Synthetic.
