We have touched on so many subjects here on TSN, I thought I would add one more with my random thought.

How long have you been going to the same barber?

The woman that cuts my hair has been at the same place for 7 years and I started going to her 2 months after she started... So I have been to her for almost 7 years.

I've been going to the same barber for over 20 years.  There are just two ladies there and both cut my hair, depending on what day I go in.  I keep a "high and tight" buzzy cut and they are exceptional at it.

Same lady for about 18 years and recently switched to a new one that does razor cuts and shaves. Haven't tried a shave yet but the haircuts are very good. Almost felt like getting a divorce though Smile

I was going to the same lady since 1986 and then moved on.  She knew how to cut my hair but here schedule was getting wacky.  I am going to a father and son barber shop now.

I've been going to the same barber for 15 years.  And that barber is me.  I cut my own hair with scissors and a set of clippers.

+1

I've shaved my head or used clippers for over 20 years now.

I had been using the same barber since 1976, pretty much ever since my parents took me in for my first cut.
However, he is now 82 and was no longer doing a satisfactory job.  After being in denial, and suffering through 6 months of bad haircuts...I changed to another barber this past November and have been very happy with the results.

I really hated to jump ship, but what can you do?

We no longer have any regular barbers in Wausau.  I go to either Great Clips, Sports Cut, or Cost Cutters, depending on who has the best coupon out when I'm ready for a haircut.  Never the same cutter and never the same cut.  Disgusting.  Sad

I used to do that. I got tired of having a great cut one time and looking like I just got run over by a lawn mower the next. Facepalm
I am glad I found someone to stick with. Biggrin

+2. I've saved $1500 since I started doing that. More money for shaving stuff of course.

+3.  I just started and I can cut my hair better than any barber that I ever been to--that's a real shame.

Traditional barbershops are extremely hard to find in my area. I went to a wonderful woman for about fifteen years, then she retired. A couple years ago I was way past due for a haircut and decided to go into a salon, and I think I was the only man there. The person available was an athletic, beautiful woman, who was trained by Vidal Sassoon, and who had just returned from living in Switzerland for 10 years. First a shampoo, followed the most sensual head and neck message you can ever imagine, and the best haircut of my life. I have fond memories of the traditional barbershop I grew up going to over sixty years ago, but "Bill the Barber" just can't compete with what I now experience every six weeks. And she's even a pro at using a straight! My wife seems puzzled about why I look so happy when I return from getting a haircut.

I have been using clippers for the past 25 years and I have never had a shave at a barber's since I can perform it quite nicely, myself!  Biggrin

I have been going to the same barber for 25 years. My parents started me off in the neighborhood barber shop and Joe has been cutting my hair ever since then. I still travel out of my way to go to him as I am very comfortable with him and he knows what works for me. It's great to see him still going strong, though I have noticed that his hands have been a little less steady than they used to, but no issues with the haircut.

Too many years to remember, but I can go in, sit in the chair, get the hair cut, pay, and leave with the usual excellent hair cut without a word spoken.  Of course, we visit but nothing is said about the cut except to praise her for the cut.  Plus, she gives a great neck massage.
