I am expecting a new batch of Vie-Long Beehive brushes in a couple of weeks. We decided to throw a little twist into this batch and for the very first time, we will be offering a synthetic fiber option as well as Silvertip Badger and Natural White Horsehair. The synthetic fiber knots are top shelf -very soft on the face but with good back bone. They should be great for both bowl lathering and face lathering.

Very excited to hear this, I wasn't a big fan of synthetic knots until recently. I bought an Omega synthetic for my wife and decided to purchase a Kent infinity for myself and really like it. Can't wait for the Vie Long. Keep us posted Smile

I am really looking forward to the synthetics too. I was very impressed with the prototype knots.

Please tell me there will be a butterscotch option!  I regret not buying one of those when you had them available.

This run will be faux horn but I may make another batch of butterscotch in the near future.

Phil - very interesting. Do you have specs on the knots, in particular the synthetics? And are the handles similar to previous Bullgoose/Vie-Long collaborations? Because if so those are just remarkable handles.

The handles will be the same heavy resin as previous BullGoose/Vie-Long LE brushes and the knot dimensions for the synthetics will be approximately 24 mm diameter and 52 mm loft.

Like the specs on the synthetic will wait for the butterscotch version.

You may be waiting a little while. Cool I do plan on doing another butterscotch run at some point but, I do not know when.

Depending on the color of the faux horn I will either order one of this batch and wait for another in butterscotch or hold out entirely for butterscotch.  Some faux horn looks magnificent while others are rather lackluster.

Phil, this is a wild shot in the dark but can this by chance be the synthetic brush that Teiste was vaguely mentioning that he was testing a couple months back?

Definitely good news.  As a user of the Beehive Vie Long in Silvertip I can rave about this brush.  I will be in the order stampede for the synthetic this time!  Thanks for the update Phil.....
