Read the thread on Turkish lemon, and that got me thinking about lavender (again).  Solved my need for a lavender aftershave, but now have a new craving.  Lately I have taken to putting on some Florida water before going to bed at night.  Think lavender water would be good, too.  Exploring the Turkish lemon, I also see where there is Turkish lavender.  Anyone use it?  Or the inexpensive (I guess) Portugese lavender?  How is it?  Where does one get it?

I got my Lavender at
http://www.theportugalonlineshop.com/
Next buy would have been Agua Lavanda by Puig.
I am not using much EDC nor Turkish Limon these days as I do not like it and am somewhat sensitive to it

I quite enjoy the Provence Santè Lavender EDT. It's not a dry lavender or a cloying bouquet fragrance. I would say it has a medicinal aroma....

I have just splashed on Duru Limon Kolonya....

Have heard good things about Agua Lavanda Puig, but the best is suppose to be in glass bottles, which I cannot find except for humongous prices on ebay.  Also heard good things about Cella, except the bottles leak and they won't ship.  And have heard a nice thing or two about Ach Brito, which somehow I cannot associate with lavender.

The Agua Lavanda Puig is quite strong, the current Yardley is quite floral? I want to say old ladyish but I wouldn't want to offend. I have tried Jersey and Norfolk Lavender's EDT's, and they are not bad. Caldey Island Lavender was popular on another forum a few years ago. I did have the splash version of Lavada Inglesa by Gal, but I imagine it would be different to the cologne version. I have the Atkinson's Lavender and was a bit disappointed. Roger and Gallet Lavande Royale is a great soap, but I can't recall how good the cologne is.

Problem seems to be that for some of these suggestions international shipping would be involved, and alcohol does not go international.  Think I am going to have to limit my search to U.S. and perhaps Canadian vendors.  Unless someone knows something about international shipping that I don't.

Had been looking for a lavender water; something that could be used as both an aftershave and as a "cologne".  Did get some Ginger's Garden High Altitude French aftershave, and that is very nice.  But with the glycerin it doesn't really qualify as a cologne.  Had my eye on some more TOBS Lavender Water, but couldn't find it.  Thinking a lavender water would be nice for an all-day splash.

Actually, John, the Spanish Shop Online has glass bottle of Agua Lavanda Puig (the better stuff) that they will ship internationally (you can find it at http://www.spanishoponline.com/agua-lava...00-ml.html). I have two such bottles and treasure them. I use the body splash on Amazon for all manner of things, though, and it smells very good (though not quite as good as its glass-bound brother). The price is right too, so I highly recommend giving it a look.

Thank you!  I think I will try the one from the plastic bottle.  For how I intend to use it (refreshing splash), that may just fit the bill exactly.
