Just noticed the R41 being produced as a Twist. I thought it was just the R89. Anyone try it? If so, does it shave the same as the 3 piece?

Also looking at it. It seems to have the larger handle and weight, more like the R41 Grande. Which would make it worth the money...

The 2013 model seemed to be very different from the 2011 (never tried the 2011). I'm wondering if there were any design changes to the head. I love the 2013 R41. Could it have gotten better or is it just being offered as a 2 piece?

First time I have heard about this. Regardless, I wouldn't attempt a fifth time with that razor! I think I have learnt enough with four attempts!  Biggrin

Just offered as a two piece. I tested the R89 twist and really liked it. I am very sure the R41 twist is excellent.

I have the R41 Twist. I've had the 2013 (3 piece) and the 2011. I can say I like the additional weight of the twist and I like the handle, it is easier to hold firmly.

Why not get the 3-piece and use any handle you like?

Is the head on the Twist the same as the 2013 in terms of how it shaves?

Yep it shaves just like all the other 41's I've shaved with.

For those folks who have found the "smooth knurling" on the previous R41s lacking, does this handle exhibit the same quality? (sharp knurling rules!)

I don't understand why Muhle would make the head and force folks to use their handle. It's the worst part of the previous R41s IMO and I've replaced all of mine with good handles that allow one to actually have grip without the feeling of slippage; hence my question above. But from the sound of it there would be no reason for me to have one of them if they shave the same as the other R41s I already have. I have no problems with the R41s I already own with the replaced handles.

Please sell me on this razor if it offers me something more than the previous R41s that I fully appreciate, but don't even try to sell me on a slippery handle that can't be changed; I can't use it.

Thanks gents!
