Did you already tried to do a homemade after-shave? If yes, how it became?

I use a mix of WH, aloe sunburn gel, and a couple drops of whatever essential oil I want it to smell like. Any brands are fine. The Witch Hazel contains alcohol so some folks may not like this recipie. Mix this up to be as thick or thin as you like by adding more or less sunburn gel. The colored gels work fine and you can pick a colored gel to go with the scent if you like.

Mine was not a succesful story. I prepared an "alcoholic base" by letting infuse lime peels (only the green part) in rubbing alcohol for about a week, until the alcohol had turned green and smell delightfully of limes. Then I decided to cut it back with water and BOOM, it "louched" as if it were absinthe (you, know, it becomes cloudy), the smell became somewhat disgusting and burnt like hell. Next day I headed to the supermarket and bought a bottle of Floid.
