[Image: DBdNUbQ.jpg]So my very nice Dad surprised me today with a travel pack believed to be from around the World War One time. It has a very army-ish look to it. It's also in fantastic condition. However what I want to know is anything related to the contents that might be interesting. It's very cool to me already. Have a look at the pictures and see what you think.

What I can describe is:
A mirror in a sleeve
Some mini towels with the shaving pattern
Two Styptic, one Iodine and one that looks like alum.
A travel brush which looks in very good shape
And lastly what looks like a field razor, I can't open it at the moment but can see an ever ready blade inside. Once I clean this up I am sure it will open.

Dad did a smashing job finding this as I love anything with a bit of history.

That is just a fantastic find.  Can't wait to see what the razor looks like once you get it open.  Can you tell if that is a boar or badger brush?

Thank you for sharing.

I am pretty sure it's a boar, it's quite firm so I would say not badger. Yea I think getting the razor open is going to be my mission tomorrow.

Apparently during WWI, soldiers had to be clean shaven so their gas masks would fit properly. This find is the heritage of men being clean shaven, hence our genesis.  Cool
