I just discovered a new ice cream that has quickly become my favorite -Peanut Butter Panic by Blue Bunny. This is a relatively unknown brand (apparently) from Iowa but, it is excellent. This particular flavor is the perfect mix of peanut butter, peanuts, chocolate, caramel and vanilla ice cream. My local Albertson's happens to carry the brand and it was on sale for $3.99 per half gallon. I warn you though...it is very addictive! I will eventually get around to trying their other flavors.

What is your favorite store bought ice cream?

I'm a real cheapskate that always looks at the price per oz. I always get the buckets. Store brand. [Image: kroger-party-pail-ice-2213.jpg]

So far my favorite off brand ice cream is Coconut Cream Pie ice cream by Turkey Hill. It's amazing! Otherwise my favorite combo is a scoop of coffee ice cream with a scoop of butter pecan. In a waffle cone is even better!

Well, I don't buy store-bought ice cream, but the Italian Gelato ice cream made at a local shop, here, is delightful!  Biggrin

I am so addicted to ice cream that I'll eat almost any brand, from the cheapest store bought to the poshest independently made. From childhood on, I never remember anything but ice cream being my favorite food.  There is a fairly new ice cream parlor in my neighborhood that has ice cream to go out of your way for.  However, sticking with store bought brands, my favorite is actually not sold around here on the West Coast. In fact, it is only sold about as far west as Northeast Ohio.  However, within its sale area, it is readily available in most supermarkets.   It is a brand that is made in the Northeast (in Akron, New York, about 25 miles outside of Buffalo).  It is Perry's: http://www.perrysicecream.com.  It has the fewest chemicals and artificial flavors I've seen in commercial ice cream lately.

My all time favorite, which I cannot buy in Wisconsin, is made in Brenham, TX.  My favorite flavor is their homemade vanilla.  Their slogan use to be "Made from contented cows".

I know I'm an anomaly, or just plain weird according to my wife, but I don't like ice cream.  Even as a child I was not attracted to it.  I'll try it periodically to see if I'm missing something, but it remains not to my liking.

I can't find any authentic Italian Gelato here in SoCal.  Doesn't taste the same as in Italy.  But, I do like Fossellmans Ice Cream in Alhamba, CA.

My parents-in-law live near a creamery in Pennsylvania about 45 minutes northeast of Philadelphia, Tanner Bros. It's great, cheap, and best of all comes in gigantic half-gallons only. Personally I like to make my own ice cream (we just made some cookies 'n cream) but I lol forward to visiting them for Wawa coffee, Tastykakes, and Tanner Bros. ice cream.

Could not agree more. Partial to their cookies and cream. I live in Houston so our stock is plentiful  Smile

Graeter's Ice Cream from Columbus Ohio.  Here in Sacramento I can pick it up at Wholefoods.  It is very high in cream fat.
