Right off the bat I will say if you like to shave on the cheap and want your cake and eat too you have to have one of these. This is a new razor that has been on sale for about two weeks so I thought I get myself one based on what others had to say. First off the head is a a new design which is called 2.0 . To date no other Maggard razor has this improved design. What is different is not so much the shave (which is outstanding IMHO) but the pins that hold the blade are larger thus eliminating blade wiggle and giving perfect blade alignment the first time. You wouldn't expect this from a $24.95 razor with a stainless steel handle to do that but that is exactly what happens. The new design handle has a very nice grip even with wet hands.
My first shave this morning I used a Derby blade and did my usual two passes which turned out to be very smooth and close. This is definitely a rotation razor.

I just bought a MR1 and spare head a week before the V2's were announced. I have four V1 heads and on 2 of them I can get the blade even, on the other two no matter how much I play with the blade position I can never get it even and straight.

I'm really looking forward to giving a V2 head a spin. My most favourite razor - when I can align the blade properly that is.

I really like the look of the handle. Looks to be modeled after the razorock stealth handle with some modifications.
