...well, if that small part of dirt we look after outside our rowhouse can be considered a garden - mostly we manage to grow weeds in it.

Anyhow, we were empting out one of the compost bins when something big fluttered past and settled in one of the birches. A pair of doves which not only hung around for 20 minutes or so, but let us finish empting the compost and take pictures... amazing, since doves are usually very shy around people over here.

Excellent Photos! I love birds of all sorts. I can only feed the winged ones while the bears sleep. I don't mind feeding all the wildlife that wanders in for a free winter buffet, but bears are banned from the buffet line.
