TICO* is a fantastic all organic pre-shave or shave oil on it's own, Proraso also makes excellent pre/post shave creams.

The BAUME.BE Pre-Shave Gel is one of the best I've ever used.  Mixes well with water and does not leave an oily residue on everything.  Besides that, it has a nice scent.

I recently discovered Edwin Jagger's pre-shave lotion that I got in a sample pack from Maggards. I immediately bought the tube. It's light and has seemed to help when I use my Straight or my Artist club SS.

I love the scent of the baume.be too Johnny.

I'm also awaiting the arrival of some Castle Forbes Pre Shave. It's water soluble.

In my opinion I have found Maggard Pre Shave Oils very effective and Stirlings Oil.

However, propably one of the best up and coming Pre Shaves is Mickey Lee Soap Works Pre Shave Butter. I have the Lime scented version and it is a real pleasure to use.

I use a handmade shaving oil from a former local aromatherapy oils maker. She has now moved to France, so I have to buy it off eBay rather than from a craft market stall.

I use the razorock shave gel as a preshave almost daily. It really helps provide protection and I can't get any irritation when I use it.

Floid Preshave, Baume.be, Razorock , i coloniali are all top shelf perceive without the clogging that some oils bring.  Village barber is also fantastic.....only a couple of drops though.

I use Noxzema face wash. It cleanses but also moisturizes with some of the oils used but of course it is primarily a cleanser so it doesn't leave the greasiness PSOs leave. It is also very cheap. $3-4 for 12 oz and it is a classic.

I'm using Proraso red sandalwood pre-barba and it's nice, but I don't think I'll buy more. I'm just not convinced it makes my shave any better.

On the whole, I'm pretty easy going about such things and I'm not at all sorry I bought it -- I will enjoy using it up.

.....and, who knows? I may change my mind.

Been using Proraso pre shave as I enjoy the menthol coolness. Also use Razorock pro shave lube and like it's peppermint scent.

When I run out I'm thinking about giving prep a try as I have heard some good things about it. Anyone that has tried it here feel free to post your experiences with it.

Also worth trying is Noxzema mixed with glycerin as a pre-shave solution. Not expensive and highly effective from my experience.

As far as a pre shave goes, I like the Proraso white for sensitive skin and the green menthol. I think it does a really good job for me.

Being using Castle Forbes Pre-Shave balm, regularly for some 12 -15 years a fantastic product. So to are the creams, and worth the money.
