Ahhh.....finally, baseball is back.   As a South Jersey native I am and always will be a Phillies guy.  Although they are not expected to do great things this season I will still enjoy watching many games on TV and hopefully make a few treks to Citizens Bank Park.  I also follow the Angels very closely since Mike Trout is from my hometown of Millville.

I am looking forward to a good (or better) Cubs season this year!
You know they won the WS in 2015 in "Back to the Future"  Biggrin

We're a Cleveland Indians household here.  I will usually take my daughter to at least a couple games each year.  No games on TV for us.  They're usually only on cable.  We listen to the games on our pre-WWII Philco console radio.  The only problem with it is that the game sounds too good.  It should be all scratchy and whatnot, but it's not - even on AM.  Modern tuners don't even come close.

The Indians are supposed to do well this year, but I'm not so sure.  The pitching will be great, but the pitchers have to be perfect because our offense is usually suspect.  I hope they prove me wrong!

Chicago White Sox fan here. They filled a lot of holes over the off season but they lack depth and the bullpen is suspect. They are likely still a year away from contending unless everything lines up perfectly for them.

I am also a Cleveland Indians fan - unfortunately, since we moved away from Ohio, we haven't been able to make it to a game there (though I caught the Indians a couple of times at Fenway Park). I used to love visiting 'The Jake' (now Progressive Field).

Now we watch them on TV. I think they'll hang in there this year, though Detroit is the team to beat in the Central.

Phil - I also like watching the White Sox play, but I absolutely hate their TV commentary team (especially Hawk Harrelson). He is just so obnoxious that we will watch games on mute if we have the White Sox broadcast for the Indians/White Sox games.

Let's go Yankees. New Era without the Captain. The field looks empty, ball hit to short reminds us of the captain

I understand Johann...The Hawk is an acquired taste. Biggrin I really miss Tom Paciorek and of course, Don Drysdale.

The Indians are the real deal. The division is really competitive this year but the Indians will hang in there. Detroit is off to a hot start but, they are vulnerable. I think the Royals are your real threat

Nothing to look forward to with my one and only Yankees except to see AROD. The team totally stinks. Am I negative absolutely.

Phil - I sure hope you're right about the Indians. They do seem to have a more balanced team this year, though there also seem to be a few areas where they're pretty weak. One area that I have my doubts about is the bullpen - they should be great, given their performance last year, but I wonder if they'll be able to keep up the level of play.

The Tigers with their batting line-up - especially the heart of the order - Cabrera, Victor Martinez, JD Martinez, Cespedes - that scares me. Kinsler is good too.

And yes, the Royals had a great year last year (I was cheering like mad for them in the playoffs), and they should be good again this year.

It will be a fun season if they all play to their potential.

I agree on the Sox commentary...
I'm spoiled by growing up listening to one of the best Ernie Harwell and the Tigers.  I remember falling asleep to his call as kid when the Tigers were on a west coast swing.
