Well, the NHL Playoff lineups are set - soon the madness will begin.........and will go on and on for about 3 months!! Seriously, this has to be the longest playoff in sport!

Anyway, it's a lot of fun. Biggrin

So, did your team make it in? The guys up north have to be happy, with 5 Canadian teams in the mix. My team (Columbus Blue Jackets) didn't make it, but they did play well down the stretch, and it was fun to watch them. Also two teams I love to hate - LA Kings and Boston - didn't make it, so I won't have to suffer through watching them make a run.

I think I'll be cheering for Winnipeg - just because they're Winnipeg. Smile

Go Preds! I was very excited with how they were playing closer to the all star break. Not too happy with their play of late. Still, gotta be pleased with a 100+ point season.

Let's Go Red Wings!
It will be good to get the young players some playoff experience. I'm worried about Jimmy Howard, tho. Mrazek could actually steal the starting job.

Although I live just outside Toronto I've never been a Leafs, or is it Laffs, supporter.  When I came to Canada, oh so many years ago, I first settled in Montreal where I attended university and worked for several years.  To this day I've unfailingly supported the Habs and they're in the playoffs. This was a star-crossed season for my Bruins.  I'm sure everyone is sad and disappointed when they got eliminated, kind of how everyone goes into mourning whenever the Yankees miss the playoffs.  The weird Boychuck trade hours before the season began, Chara's injury, Krejci's injury right after signing a big extension, etc.  I hope they don't gut the team and management because until this year they had this track record: 2010-11 Stanley Cup champs; 2011-12: Division Champs (2nd overall in East); 2012-3: lost in Stanley Cup; 2013-14: President's Cup.

I'm still bummed. A patient offered me two tickets to Game 5 of the Preds/Blackhawks series last night here in Smashville. I had to turn them down as we just couldn't see taking our 10-week old nor could we leave him with anyone. The Preds won 5-2 to force game 6 in Chicago. If they can win and if I get game 7 tickets offered I think I will have to figure out a way to go.

I am actually not cheering for any team, but liked what Yohann had said!  I could care less if Vancouver advances and I am just waiting for them to be knocked out, sooner than later, so my mates that I play footie with will stop talking about them.  Biggrin

Oh yeah, I'll root for the Atlanta Thrashers too. I always enjoyed going to their games.

I was lucky to attend the full series the last time they were in the Playoffs against Detroit. We all new they were headed to Phoenix and the place was intense.

Things have changed since that stint and likely my last playoff game I'll attend as prices and tickets were way too expensive and hard to come by this time.

Well, I was sad that the Jets got knocked out so easily. They were underdogs, but I expected them to put up a bit of a fight. They remind me of the first time my Blue Jackets went to the playoffs (against Detroit), and got swept.

Anyway the Detroit/Tampa series has been interesting.

Fair-weather Rangers fan here. That Penguins series was tight despte the final 4-1 outcome in games.
Last year was close to another Cup victory, but L.A. was better.
I can't believe it's been more than 20 years since Mark Messier & Co. last brought the cup to New York.

It would be great to see the Rangers win the cup with the former Vancouver Canucks coach leading the way! My friends, here, would never hear the end of it!  Biggrin

I remember that the Rangers had to beat Vancouver to secure the Cup in '94, and that it wasn't all that easy.
The semis against the Devils that year were the most dramatic hockey I've ever watched, though. "Matteau! Matteau! Matteau!"
