I go tomorrow to start a 2 day prep for cataract surgery on my right eye on Wednesday. I had the left eye done 2 months ago. My vision went from 20/400 (yes, four hundred) in that eye to 20/20 in 2 days. I'm hoping for a similar result on my right eye. If it happens I won't need glasses for the first time in my life (except for reading of course). Wish me luck!

I had this done two years ago Uncle Dave and it worked wonders. No glasses anymore. You will be glad you did it for sure. Good Luck.

Thanks man! I just have to remember not to look in the mirror under a 100 watt bulb! The shock might kill me! Biggrin

I had eye surgery about twenty years ago - although not for cataract - and it was the most scary thing I've ever done... I'll keep you in my thoughts Dave. Best of luck, and a speedy recovery!

Thanks fellas. Cataracts kind of slipped up on me. I went to the doctor for just an exam and he gave me the bad news. One was fully mature and the other almost fully mature. Now that one eye is fixed I can REALLY tell the difference. It's amazing how something like this can happen to you and you don't even notice it!

Dave,

Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health.

I just saw your other post about having carpel tunnel syndrome. I have had CT surgery and I highly recommend it. PM me w/ any questions.

All good wishes for a completely successful result, Dave. My thoughts are with you.

My optician told me a couple of years ago that cataracts had started to develop on my eyes but that surgery wouldn't be needed for about five to ten years. I guess it's in my future, too.

Good luck Uncle Dave. Hopefully after the surgery you can read those numbers on the blade (old shaving joke, sorry)

Best of Luck to you. I had a mature cataract removed last November and it was tremendous. It makes shaving much easier Smile

Be sure to take your drops as prescribed
