How's the Simpson synthetic compared to the Plisson or Muhle knot?

very similar fibres too the muhle maybe exactly the same I'm not sure. the knot is very dense.

The simpsons use the Muehle fibres, and make it a dense knot at that. Soft and luxurious, larger in diameter than the Muehle knots. Recommended

So, Muhle STF v2 is the same fiber as Simpsons?

I have both the Muhle 25mm and the Chubby 2.  I don't know if they are the same fiber.  What I do know is that the Chubby 2 is far more dense than the Muhle, and is set at a lower loft.  As a result, the Chubby 2 has much more backbone than the Muhle, but does not splay as much as the Muhle.

I have a second generation Simpson 2 "Chubby" Synthetic and it is a terrific brush. It splays easily; loads a ton of soap and has great flow-through. Not as soft, I have heard as the other two, but the tradeoff is more backbone.

I have the MDC Fougere used less than 5 times and would be interested in the Simpson brush. Given that I'm new here I have feedback from the facebook groups and reddit for references.

I have the following Baume.be products I'd be willing to trade for the Simpson:

Shaving Cream: opened accidentally but unused (have an open tub already)

After Shave Balm: about 80% remaining (hard to tell exactly with the black glass bottle)

Pre Shave Gel: about 70% remaining

Sorry, I've decided that I'm not ready to try a synthetic brush yet.  Good luck with your sale!
