My stepson is away at Camp, Ashley is at work, and Dave has a day off. I'm going to hit some antique shops in Clinton and Sevierville (2 cities closeby). Is there anything that anyone would like for me to be on the lookout for? Normally Clinton and Sevierville have quite a few shops with razors and brushes, etc. I'm on the hunt for a Barbasol Jar and some vintage blades, but will keep my eye out for razors as well. Theres a shop in Sevierville and Clinton that both have a great amount of straight razors. Just post in the thread if you're looking for anything and a price range and I'll pick em up if I see em

The Jewel is the Gem version of the Ever Ready Streamline. Some say it doesn't exist, but I thought I remembered seeing a thread once where one was pictured.

My wife and I were in Sevierville this exact same time in June back in '09,rode my motorcycle down there and met up with some friends, some fine riding roads all around especially the one's not so well known except to the locals.Ha! This thread's making me thirsty for an ice cold mason jar of sweet tea.
Sorry to hear you didn't bag any razors Dave.Besides some incredible scenery,I remember seeing Dolly Parton's place, the home of Bush Baked Beans and Smokey Mountain Knife Works.
You're blessed to live around such a beautiful area.

Being from the Deep South hunting was something I grew up with and it's very popular here in Kentucky. I, however, have never enjoyed it. It's hard for me to kill mice much less something like deer. I just don't have the make up for it. I don't condemn others who do it though. I'm a firm believer in YMMV.

When I rode motorcycles I loved riding through the mountains. If I had an ice cold mason jar, it wouldn't be full of sweet tea. The next time you head down, hit me up, I'll buy ya a beer or soda pop

Sounds good Dave,thanks...these days a soda pop's perfect.
About those Mason Jars....
I forgot to mention we had a connection down there for some of the local's finest "Artisan Beverages"

When we pulled in off the road for the night....Apple Pie,Grape & Banana shine chilled till those ice crystals are just starting to form.
