My collection for now is small and included a Tech, Slim Adjustable, another Gillette vintage not sure which it is and finally the EJ89.

I want to add the Schick Krona and the Gillette Fatboy adjustable to the collection.

Looking to get insights from the forum on what would be a good price that one should be paying for these. I do understand that part of the pricing is condition but looking for help as I am largely a newbie.

Can folks please add the price they paid and the condition it was in and the date they bought it to get some ideas on what people are paying.

Thanks

Not not sure what "fair" is. What your willing to part with and feel you received value for your money. I paid through the nose for my second one and very little for my first. I ended up selling the second for a profit and the first is a great razor and not that different in condition.

Fair is a relative term and I acknowledged it in my post. I clearly indicated that I am looking for insights from members. It is all a question of demand and supply and want vs desire. So I don't need an economics lesson. At a certain point, you can keep buying as many razors as you want but the law of diminishing marginal utility hits and you end up with a den clearance. So again not looking for an economics lesson but looking for people have paid for their fatboys and in what condition and when to create some sort of a timeline and value estimate. Maybe I should ask my question that way and will edit the post to that. Thanks

Thanks Gman that helps put things into perspective. What was the condition of the Fatboy?

You are probably looking at $50-75 for a good condition one without case. Once you factor in the case, depending on the razor's condition, you're looking at over $100, in general.
Good luck and you could always place a WTB ad on a few of the forums.

I've never paid more then $15 for my FB's, have 3, maybe 4, all are near mint and one is cased...I've had more but passed them along.

Keep looking and hope to find one locally.

A Krona will generally run from about 10 to about 35 bucks.  A Fatboy will run from about 25 to maybe 85, depending on condition.
Typical prices would be 15-20 for the Krona and 35-55 for a Fatboy.

I paid $90 for a very good one.$35 for an original plastic box.$18 for a NOS 20 pack of blades & $75 to Razor Emporium for their Rhodium Revamp service[they did a hell of a good job]. Is it worth the $218? It was to me as I started shaving with a Fatboy 53 yrs ago,& it brings back lots of fond memories.Only you can decide if it's worth it to own a piece of history.I'm only sorry I don't have a copy of the original instructions, yet!
