Just a heads up that I can no longer source Palmolive Shave Sticks and Palmolive Shave Cream. I assume that all North American vendors are in the same boat. If you are a fan of Palmolive, you may want to stock up now.

Bugger. I'll have to assemble a stockpile (49p/unit - not too burdensome) before they disappear. I've come back to enjoying Palmolive after years exploring more exotic, artisan, and certainly more expensive soaps so it is a shame for me that they seem to be pulling it.

My current bowl of Palmolive:

I used the shave stick this morning which reminded me that I can no longer source it. I agree...it is an excellent soap for the money. I also really enjoy the Italian Palmolive shaving cream. <sigh>

That's a shame. I heard about it disappearing from the shelves in the UK.
I'll have to grab a few while I can.

There was a rumor about 2 months ago about Palmolive shave sticks disappearing. Had a friend send me a dozen from the UK just in case.  It is an excellent soap period. I say that after having tried some high priced soaps that I will not buy again. It is a pity it will not be available in NA anymore.

Think I will get one of each and hoard them for a year or two and when all inventories are exhausted, sell them for $50 each.  Biggrin

That works with Penhaligon's, why not Palmolive?

Dang - we should start a business of the top shaving gears no longer made, license out their technology/ patent and start a small scale production shaving company (with generous markup...) oh who am I kidding - I would just love having access these dying products indefinitely!

Could this be a labeling problem caused by the EU regs ....I understand Wickhams has their products with labels for the EU and different labels for export.

Here in Portugal, palmolive shaving cream is still available at every supermarket...
And AFAIK, the stick will continue to be available in the German market.
