Based on all the good buzz, I ordered two samples of Reef Point soaps from Maggard’s. After several shaves with them, I ordered a jar of the Peerless: “A woodsy yet bright scent with notes of cedar, bergamot orange, fir needle, bay leaf and tobacco.” After a few shaves using different brushes, I am sold on Reef Point soaps. The Peerless now has a place in my rotation. It is a harder soap and produces an easy, thick, cushioning lather. It is also slick and leaves my face feeling great. The scent is outstanding too, IMHO. FYI-They make both tallow and vegan versions.

Ingredients: Potassium Stearate, Potassium Tallowate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Tallowate, Potassium Cocoate, Potassium Ricinoleate, Potassium Shea Butterate, Glycerin, Fragrance, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Ricinoleate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Shea Butter.

Indeed!  RPS makes great soaps.  I'm using the mentholated barbershop and it's on point!

I wanted to like the RF Bay Rum, but it burned my skin. Too bad. Nice scent combined with a rich lather. Now my puck is almost gone with use in the shower.  Biggrin

It is probably a stupid question, but if it burns your skin for shaving why doesn't it burn your skin for bathing?  Yours is not the only thread I've seen where someone does this, and the question has also intrigued me.

Good question, but when I shower, I don't have a razor-sharp blade running across my skin; opening the pores. I also don't do a "3 pass body wash" It's simply: lather once and rinse. I also suspect that, except for some areas on my body that rarely see the sun, my skin isn't nearly as sensitive to irritants as my face.  Blush

I picked up the Earl Grey & Ginger.  Spectacular!  Scent is great, performance is great.  Moisturizing, too.  Don't know if the non-tallow would be as good, however.

Reef Point is one of my top five, amazing performance I am always surprised it doesn't get more love on the forums. I have Sublime and Espresso both of which are amazing scents. I could eat espresso.

I picked up Fougere Royal and it's amazing! The scent is complex but not cloying and the post shave feel is fantastic!

I have Dragon's Blood and Submariner and they both performe extremely well and the scents are great. The post shave feeling is one of the best and the soap is very easy to use. It's almost impossible to not have a great lather.

I do not see Fougere Royal on his list, only Fougere Santal.  Where are you finding the Royal?

My mistake it was Fougere Santal. Not sure where the Royal came from.

RPS appears to be a great new company and I thoroughly enjoy "Dragon's Blood"
DB is a regular in my rotation and I plan on adding more scents.

Just ordered 3 samples today, and a bath soap for my wife.
Can't wait to give it a try.

Did anyone find the scent strength to be on the lighter side? I ordered a bunch of samples and was a tad disappointed. Maybe they open up when lathered? Sniffing the soap directly they seem 2/5 on strength.

My samples did not seem to have the same scent level as the full jar. The scent level is very good on my Peerless FWIW.

Any photos of how well it lathers? Nice and razor there Bob. Is that razor in original condition? It looks great.

I face lather so I don't have photos, but it lathers like a champ. I don't keep any soaps that don't. The NEW Short Comb was replated.

I used it again today. Shave number 2 just as good!
