What has Amazon done for the shaving community? I have yet to see an AMAZON shaving tutorial posted on UTUBE, a forum such as this one created by BULLGOOSE SHAVING, any PIF between AMAZON customers or direct feedback with companies such as SIMPSON and many others. But the shaving community continually patronizes the BIG BOX-EBAY-WALMART-AMAZON Jabba the Hut business model to save a few pennies.
The various dedicated shaving kit dealers found on this website   are all good. The bad ones don't last.

I can't say enough about the service I have received from Maggardrazors.com. I ordered a tub of shaving soap on Saturday and it was here on Monday.

All told, I've placed around a dozen orders with Bullgoose, Shavetools and West coast shaving. Imo you will get fair prices and speedy service from all of them. Lee's razors also has a strong following and great reputation.

I have only had 1 bad, and 1 iffy experience with online purchasing. Vendors that advertise on shave forums are good. After all, they want you to be a repeat customer as we all have our ADs

My go to vendor is Connaught out of the UK (connaughtshaving.com).  They most always have better prices for both soaps/creams and shipping. I do not mind waiting a week or so since they are the best value for my money.  My back-up is Maggard (great shipping).

I buy shavings supplies from online small businesses. I do not go through Amazon for for such unless the vendor has elected to use an Amazon storefront.

Etsy is a great site to purchase hand made brushes and razors. The vendors advertising through that forum are very reputable and artisitic. I have purchased two brushes from Excalibur Rustics with which I have been very happy; and I have recently purchased a razor (with Tru-Stone handle) manufactured by PC Woodcraft which I use in rotation with my Merkur 38C Long Handle. Bullgoose, West Coast Shaving, Classic Shaving, Royal Shave and Em's Place are all great sources from which you can purchase soap, creams, etc.

I have shopped at a number of our supporting vendors and have always had flawless transactions.  I would say that you are 100% safe ordering from any of them.

I've had good service from West Coast Shaving, Bullgoose, Gifts & Care (in Spain).
I shop on Amazon when I have reward points to spend, I've had good results from Italian Barber (Bellezz) & Shavetools.

Blades - shaving.ie
Soaps - usually various U.S. artisans, except for Tabac and MWF that one can get anywhere.
Razors - sorry, but it varies; I do not rely on any specific vendor although Ikon has been reliable.
Brushes - directly from Simpsons, Shavemac or WiborgNew Forrest is excellent for the money.  If interested in Semogue badgers or boars, check out shaving.ie or vintagescent.com

If ever in NYC, then drop into Pasteurs Pharmacy.

Bull Goose, West Coast Shaving, Superior Shave are all great vendors.  They support the various shaving forums with their dollars and provide excellent customer service.  If I lived in Europe, Connaught Shaving, Shaving.IE  would get my business.

The European vendors tend to be cheaper (I am in the US), sometimes even half the price for the EXACT same thing, so I use Connaught Shaving and Shaving.ie for most of my purchases. In the US, I use Maggard and drugstore.com.

I have used Maggards, ShoeBox ShaveShop, and Amazon. All three with much success. But I had already researched my items and was going after price. Then I stumbled upon Shaving.ie and have not looked back. As stated, with me it's all about price.
