Thats right a vintage Bone simpson shaving brush. asking 180, but i am open to offers and trades like a le or 2band ch1.

Update as requested. The damage appears to be around the base the brush which you a see from photo. The photos are of front and back. Item i old so will show signs of wear. There appears to be no cracks. I am no expert on bone So it is as is.

Is it in good condition? The base looks like it's chipped, but it could just be the way it's photographed.

Even though it is visible in the pic, it is always good form to mention any flaws just to be absolutely sure the buyer knows what he is getting   Angel

I'll also mention that bone handles are very hard, and much more dense than what is offered today, hence heavier also.  I bet Mark at Simpson could fix this handle up right!  This would look smashing with a 2-band SiLVERTiP knot in it, and a new polish, IMO.

Good luck with your sale...

I can't describe how thrilled the actual high bidder is to find out that there is a way to avoid paying auction listing fees to have a reserve - and to know now that shill bidding isn't a hard-and-fast rule on the auction site!  Nono

And, in case anyone questions whether I have a dog in this hunt, here's the auction site description of the next-to-last bidder's bid:

This whole thread and situation is very shady.  Sorry to hear you didn't win Ken (@texquill) but think you are better off not giving any money to the OP in this situation.  Especially now that we see it's chipped and damaged and wasn't listed in the description above, until pointed out and who knows what else the OP isn't saying.

Maybe the TSN mods need to step in here, close this thread and prevent this listing from happening.  I don't know what the rules are for stuff like this, and it's probably never needed to be addressed because it's so deceptive and never thought it would happen here.
