Please let me know what you think of the three-band brush after a few uses.  I don't think it is actually called 3-band Finest, that is probably just the handle he had laying around at the time.

That's what I'm thinking. The gel tip may be a Blonde as well.

Its hard to tell when he labelled them and sticks in different grades.

Either way, very nice.

Labels from Lee are nothing but a name, IME.  I have received 6 of his knots (between M&F and Paladin) in the last year and four feel like they have the same hair (gel tips), two labeled Finest and two Blonde, the other two feel like a different hair (soft but not gel like) one labeled Blonde and one Finest.  To confuse matters even more two of the four gel tipped brushes he referred to as Heritage when we were in preliminary talks.  I'm not sure if there is an actual method to his madness but I quit after pre-calc so have no desire to try and connect all the variables.

Three lovely brushes, Tappan.
I agree with Celestino regarding the 3-Band. Most likely the Heritage.

Regarding the differences pointed out I can only comment on Lee and I's talk, the knots were what was decided on and he had those handles with the exception of the horn that was a request.

Somebody dropped the ball on that "3-band Finest." Regardless of what the label says, enjoy them in good health. I am sure they are high quality brushes.
