We have a small pond out front. Two weeks ago a beaver came for a visit.

My daughter sat on the bank for an hour taking pics and the beaver was not fazed at all.
I know they can be destructive but this one was cut as a button.

He/she was just passing through and only stayed 2 days.

Yes, very cute to watch. Nice pics. Oth our city has had to put chicken wire around the base of the tree trunks by rivers to try and keep the beavers from doing what comes naturally.

That's just so cool! I've been trying to spot beavers for a while now, never with any luck. I've spent time around their dens and dams, and have found a lot of evidence of their presence, but have never seen one in the wild.

I think this comes from always having a 4 year old girl with me - I just don't get a chance to sit and watch for too long anymore. Smile

Wow, those are neat, Phil.  The only natural thing I see from my window is the number 11 city bus go by from time to time.  Tongue
