Picked up one of the Ginger Nuts DLC razors.  Finish is nice.  Fit... not so much.  The handle is very nice but the head is a bit wonky.  Mine may be an exception.  It's not a cheap gamble at a bit over $30 shipped.  My advice is to pass on it.

I did get a great deal on a Simpson Case in pure badger.  ~$27 plus a share of the shipping.  Nice scrubby brush.

What does it look like as you have intrigued my curiosity with the 'DLC' label? Biggrin

I think it is not DLC but what is meant it like diamond like carbon looking.
i did see it in an American online shop and it was referred to as exactly that, a durable non DLC finish. Not crap. I passed on it which took quite some effort because I feared lesser f&f
Thank you for the feedback, I was still kicking myself for not ordering. five....  Wink

....Jerry, let us know how it shaves...

.......i asked them about a non-VAT price, they said that they couldn't do that because of the way their site is set up, but they did offer to give a discount...

Thanks for the offer, Jerry, but I didn't really enjoy the Muhle Jet.
Good luck with the razor.

There are few suppliers in the UK that will give a lower price less VAT. I don't expect to get the razor for several weeks and I have not even gotten shipping notification. I am hoping this will be a good shaving razor. I will let you know however.

I think Matador of Razor Blades and More carry a razor like that as well but not completely sure. Nice looking razor though.

I agree with the others, it does look like a Muhle Jet, only with a much, much cooler name. I am considering ordering the razor based only on its name!

Exactly. That was what I wanted to refer to:

Not too expensive either. I bet you could have great shaves with any of these, after "developing the interface"

Matador prices are very reasonable. The Toro Mastiff (aggressive) is my go to razor. I'm hoping for a release in a DLC version.

Received this beautiful razor today (7 days to the US from the UK). Did a two pass shave. Very smooth close and satisfying. Hopefully the shave will last 24 hours. Great finish and the weight is a nice 3.3 oz and handle length 3.5". The bottom of the handle unscrews and I noticed it's probably brass with a DLC finish. Will follow up with pictures next week as I am going on a long trip.

Jerry, glad you got a good one.  I do want to say that I have zero complaints with the order fulfillment and service from Ginger Nuts.  I do use the razor handle with a few of the orphan heads I have and have no complaints on it.  If it was a domestic seller I would probably pursue a replacement or refund, but it was such a small portion of my order and the other deals I got really cover the difference.

So far no issues with the head or handle. The blade lines up fairly even and the finish is excellent. I just back from my abbreviated trip and tried a Voskhod teflon blade and the shave was absolutely smooth as silk. The handle can get a little slippery when wet so you have to be vigilant. I think the DLC coating helps with the slickness of the razor head. Since DLC razors are hard to come by I think I will hold on to this one.
