Did anyone else see this in lifehacker?

Quote:Here's a hack that has improved my morning routine immensely.

Don't you hate it when you pour aftershave or cologne in your hand to apply to your face, and you end up getting as much on your hands as on your face? Then it's wasted as you wash your hands and all of that expensive eau de toilette goes down the drain! Well, here's a simple solution. Buy some glass roll-on bottles, pour in your aftershave or cologne, snap the rollerball on top and you're all set. Now, just roll the applicator ball across your freshly shorn face and you will waste not a drop. Another benefit—your hands won't smell like cologne or have to be washed again, either! You can find them all over Amazon, but here's a pretty ridiculously cheap one.

I enjoy the face rub/slap with my aftershaves. If there is any left over I rub in on my arms. Nothing wrong with your hands smelling good like your face, IMHO.

I agree with you Johnny. I may try it for cologne though. With most EdT, even one spray is just too much for me.

Hi

Personally I don't use an aftershave or cologne (mainly due to the alcohol content), but I think I might try this idea with Witch Hazel, get the Witch Hazel to only where its needed, required...

Take care, Mike

I think I'm with Johnny ... not sure I'd want to drag a roller ball across my freshly-shaved face (if the deodorants that use them are anything to go by). At least I know my hands are relatively smooth & soft.

I'd rather do it the old fashion way.

Same here, splash, rub and slap. I rub my arms with anything left on my hands. The only A/S I have an issue with is Alt Innsbruck. They really need to put a plastic reducer on the bottle, I pour too much and it ends up on the floor.

I had this problem w/ a sample bottle of Floid Blue I got from an online friend. Then I had an epiphany while filling the dogs' outside water dish w/ the hose.

Just cover part of the bottle opening with your thumb, like you do when making an un-restricted water hose into a spray. It gives you much more control over the wider-mouthed bottles.
