Simpson's Chubby 2 Manchurian. For me, Simpson's Manchurian is the complete package, backbone, flow through, and perfect face feel (scrubby without being scritchy). It's just all around marvelous stuff! Additionally, for me, the Chubby 2 handle is as close to perfection as it gets.

But if I really was hard pressed it would be a brush no longer in my posession - I sold it to Merkur Man.

I have a Muhle STF which has the same fibers as the EJ. it is my second favorite after the Plisson. That is really how synthetics are. No shedding, no maintenance, and they last forever. Ever see a vintage synthetic? They look like new. The used vintage naturals are begging to be put out of their misery...

You are more than qualified. Just because a brush costs more doesn't mean it's actually a better brush. Pick your favorite and post it up man!
