SOLD

For sale is my Simpsons Duke 3 Manchurian with ivory fleck handle. Mark Watterson had 4 of these made up around April, and I just couldn't resist. I had not owned or used a Duke 3 when I made the purchase, and I thought it was a sure thing given the Duke 3's popularity. Alas, I prefer a taller handle. This Manchurian hair is fantastic, though, and I am going to replace this brush with a taller version. SWMBO requires I sell this before replacing it, though, so here it is. It has not shed a single hair on me in 7-10 uses. I am offering it for less than I paid, $240 shipped within the US. I accept Paypal. Thank you for entertaining my neurosis.

Thanks! I have several Simpsons in 2-band Super, and this hair is quite different. It's distinct from any of the other 2-band brushes I have or have tried, like that HMW. I'll compare to Simpsons 2-band: the Manchurian seems to be packed more densely. The knot maintains a compact shape, not opening up or splaying as much as Super when on the face. The tips are soft, though, and I get little if any scritch from this brush. It has loads of backbone, no doubt related in part to its density. The 2-band Super tips have a finer feel to them, IMO. The Manchurian tips feel more substantial, or thicker, yet maintain softness.

Beauty! I'm still debating if I want to get another Manchurian as my T3 is breaking in real nice. Becoming a favorite.

Congrats Ben if you snag this one. Pretty nice deal here.

I have a CH2 in Manchurian that should arrive next week. I love this Duke but keep thinking I'd like a bigger handle when I use it. I'm leaning heavily toward the T3. It would be like icing on the cake.

So tempting. I doubt that I will ever be without a Duke in the den. The Manchurian provides a great feel on the face. A beautiful LE brush at a good price.
