After few days using them.
This is how they appear.
In the middle is Muhle silvertip fibre XL for comparison.
I found the shavemac finest badger 30mm knot and 70mm loft is very floppy.
Still have some backbone but it performed better with creams and soft soaps
Need some skill lathering hard soaps.
When properly lathered it has gentle massage effect and flows smoothly on face.
The Thater 4125/5 two band is without doubt a top performing brush.
It is big (33mm knot), dense, luxury and has adequate backbone.
Lathered easily with all products.

I am interested in 4125/6 but it’s hard to find.
Nassrasur has it but including shipping cost and bank transfer fee it is nearly 400euro!

You may want to consider adding the new Shavemac Silvertip 2-Band hair to your collection as it would complement your current brushes, very nicely; great backbone with 'gel-like' tips, almost. Smile

Hi,

A quick pic of my Thaeter 35mm (I guess that must be a '6') bulb; very easy to use even for face lathering would you believe! Go for it (although prices do seem to have increased!)  I would like to give the new Shavemac two-band a try, my previous experience with their two-band was 'so-so'.

Wow! That brush is a monster!   The new Shavemac Silvertip 2-Band is completely different to their D-01 2-Band; night and day, really, in my opinion. Smile

I love the big Thaters myself. I use a 4125/4 2 band bulb regularly. The thing is....with this knot..you can use just the tips for an incredibly soft experience while still maintaining control.

If I could find a size 5 or 6 in 2 band I'd jump on it. Very hard to find. Congrats on your Thaters, gentlemen.

Yes! 4125/6 has 35mm knot.
Nearly impossible to find outside Germany.
